| This Council is made up of over 23,000 members of Catholic women in every deanery of the Diocese of Lincoln, NE. It is based in the women's organizations of the parishes that are located from south of the Platte River from east to west. It is organized under the direction of the Catholic Bishop of Lincoln who is represented by 2 priests. The Rev. Peter Gadient and Rev. Thomas Lux who are its spiritual moderators for the Council together with moderators on the deanery and parish levels. Their works are divided into the following commissions: church Commission, Community Concerns, Family Concerns, International Concerns, Legislation Commission and the Organization Commission. These commissions are organized to carry out projects under the National Council of Catholic Women. We invite all Catholic women who are interest to join in this work for the good of society through Mary, our patroness. |
