The Legislation Commission encourages legislative advocacy among all members. Guided by Catholic Social Teaching, it assists women in understanding the legislative process, provides the skill to analyze current and proposed laws, and promotes activities that will bring about greater social and economic justice in our society at the local, state and national level. The LDCCW is aware of the great importance and impact of an educated electorate and encourages all women to vote intelligently and within the moral guidelines of the Faith. Members are also encouraged to contact their Senators and Congressmen when legislation is deemed to be critical to the well-being of the constituents.
