Diocesan Youth Council
The Diocesan Youth Council (DYC) was established in 1999. Pastors nominate three high school age students from each deanery (totaling 39 representatives), who are under the guidance of the Family Life Office Director and Diocesan Youth Coordinator. DYC meetings are held four times a year to promote leadership skills, evangelization, catechesis, and vocations. The fall Leadership Retreat at Camp Kateri Tekakwitha gives council members an opportunity to form new friendships and to work together on leadership skills.
