Camp Kateri Tekakwitha

In 1999, Bishop Bruskewitz approved the purchase of a farm near McCool Junction to be used for a Catholic Camp for youth and families. The campground is named after Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, who was beatified in 1980. The first SKY Camp for junior high youth was held at Camp Kateri in the summer of 2001. A restroom and shower building was completed in 2002. In addition, four cabins were built at the site. Fr. Robert Barnhill, Melissa Lucas, Fr. John Sullivan and the Camp Kateri Council Members are involved in camp development.

Directions to Camp Kateri: Drive 1 mile south of McCool Junction on Highway 81. Turn east on gravel road. Camp entrance is 1/4 mile further (on south side of road).

If you would like to schedule a group or family event at Camp Kateri, please call Fr. Barnhill at 308-697-3722.
